For the NEW Winter Schedule (Private Sessions): All adults and children over the age of 2 are required to wear a face mask that fully covers their mouth and nose at all times while inside our facility. If you or your child has a condition that prevents the use of a face mask, please do not register for classes with us at this time.
Athletes registered in our Competitive Training Sessions are required to wear a mask at the following times:
For the NEW Winter Schedule (Private Sessions): Makeups will be allowed based on availability. We only have one child per time slot so space is extremely limited and we cannot guarantee you will be able to receive a makeup slot. We will do everything we can to accommodate you and your schedule
drop-off/pick up policies
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your class and wait in the parking lot. You may enter the building with your child 5 minutes before your scheduled class – all customers entering the building must be wearing a mask before entering. For children over 5 years, if you are dropping them off outside of the building, it is your responsibility to ensure they are safely in the facility prior to leaving.
Updated for the NEW Winter Schedule (Private Sessions): Children participating in our Play Pass program (Under 5 years) are required to have an adult participate with them for the entire session. For Private Lessons (5+ years) and Competitive Training Sessions, we are asking that parents do not enter the building. We will have a video link so you can watch your child’s session from outside the building. Adults are permitted to come into the facility for check-in and pick-up as long as you are wearing a mask and adhere to physical distancing guidelines.
Our standard procedure will be to bring your child out to you in the parking lot at the end of class. One adult is permitted to enter the facility for pick-up as long as masks are worn and physical distancing is maintained. Please do not be late for pick-up – we have a tight cleaning schedule and are committed to having only one child exiting the building at a time
General Conduct Policies
Please be respectful of all participants, fellow parents, staff and our facility at all times. Please refrain from talking on your phone or letting children be disruptive in the waiting area. No flash photography and do not share photos that show other people's children on social media without their explicit consent. Except in the case of emergencies, do not interrupt a class that is in session. If you would like to speak to your child's instructor, please schedule a time to do so by email. Our classes go back-to-back and we want to make sure we have time to focus on you and your questions. Please be on time for class. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, we recommend scheduling a make-up. Please do not leave any items unattended, Kalamazoo Elite Gymnastics Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Absolutely no smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug use on the premises. Please be mindful of allergies if you have food with you in the waiting room. No food, gum, or drinks other than water allowed in the gymnastics area.
Safety & reporting injuries
You are required to sign all necessary waivers prior to your child entering the gymnastics area. We encourage you to thoroughly read these and ask questions if you have concerns. If any injury occurs during class, your instructor will make sure to discuss what happened with you directly. If your child mentions an injury to you, please let the instructor know. If your child is injured outside of gymnastics class, please let your instructor know and provide doctor clearance, if necessary.
We recommend wearing form-fitting clothes to class to help coaches spot your child efficiently. No shoes, socks, hats, belts, jeans, jewelry, or baggy clothes for safety reasons. Long hair must be pulled back so it is out of your child's face.
We don't expect our little ones (under 5) to be able to pay attention for the whole class, but we will speak to you if we have issues with attitude, rudeness, hitting, unsafe behavior, or otherwise disrupting the class. If behavior is consistently an issue, we may ask you to try a different class or private lessons to improve the situation.

We strive to be open no matter what but sometimes life happens! If class is cancelled, we will email, call and text you with as much notice as possible. There are no refunds for missed or cancelled classes due to our super flexible makeup policy, with the exception of a severe or prolonged disaster-related closure.
Payment is required upon enrollment in a class to reserve your spot. Classes can be dropped only after speaking with the instructor to discuss the issue. With the exception of emergencies, you must drop the class within one week of your first class to receive a prorated refund. If you need financial assistance, please email us to discuss your needs.
